Tokio Hotel This Week 9.30.10

Hey #1Aliens! Lots going on in the Tokio Hotel universe this week. As you already know, the Tokio Hotel twins, Bill and Tom Kaulitz just celebrated their 21st birthday this week. Hopefully, they had fun, because while they were out, their house was robbed. On their birthday. Really sucks, actually. At the moment, no one knows who did it. 

On the flip side, they did win a really cool award and the MTV Games video game, Rock Band 3 will feature "Humanoid" on it. Anyway, here's the latest in Tokio Hotel news this week.

Tokio Hotel frontman, Bill Kaulitz answers Katie Perry's diss


Queer.de is reporting a strange turn of events for the German band, Tokio Hotel. The TH guys—Bill, Tom, Georg and Gustav—were sharing the stage with singer Katy Perry in Singapore at Sing Fest 2010. When it was Perry’s turn up to bat, the 25-year-old singer decided to suddenly change the lyrics to her song “You’re so Gay”. Click here to read the rest of the article


Tokio Hotel has had its naysayers in recent months, who have predicted the band is all but washed up. However—and thankfully—the band has other plans. Germany’s most famous band from Magdeburg has shown up its critics again. According to Promiflash.de, Bill, Tom, Gustav and Georg have once again landed on the #1 spot on the charts! According to a report on Zercustoms.com, Tokio Hotel twins, Bill and Tom Kaulitz are helping the German auto giant, Audi, give the American muscle car a run for its money. Tokio Hotel German Lessons: Parts 1-5


One of the coolest things about the German band, Tokio Hotel is that it has inspired millions of fans to learn German. I noticed as I conversed with fans that they wanted to learn to speak German so that they could better understand Tokio Hotel’s songs. As a lover of the German language and as a fan of programs that allow people to learn German online, I created German lessons based upon the lyrics of Tokio Hotel songs. Since a German course or a German class might be too expensive for them to take I wanted to reward those who read regularly with this feature in my column. Because it deals with written and spoken German, it should help fans develop a more solid understanding of the language. Additionally, as I get get questions and feedback from my readers, I'll be suggesting activities and games they can participate in that will help them in their quest to learn the perfect Tokio Hotel German. If it’s not common knowledge at the moment, it soon will be; Tokio Hotel fans are very, very loyal. The loyal fans from around the world have been known to do some pretty powerful things to show their loyalty. Like the time some of them camped out for a week waiting for Tokio Hotel’s “Welcome to Humanoid City Tour” to come to their town. Or the ones who took up for the members ofTokio Hotel when German moms rated the band a bad influence on kids. And of course, there’s the Tokio Hotel Twitter trending thing. Last year at the unveiling of Tokio Hotel’s “World Behind My Wall” video, the fans banded together to start a “World Behind My Wall” trending topic on Twitter. It’s common knowledge among Tokio Hotel fans, that frontman Bill Kaulitz would like to have a proper relationship. He has openly admitted in more that he’d like to have a relationship. Rumors have even swirled around him that he did have a girlfriend. And then he didn’t. Bill’s brother Tom on the other hand, had a reputation for being something of a playboy. Tokio Hotel fans create a #HappyBdayKaulitzTwins trending topic on Twitter


For a second day in a row the fans of the German band Tokio Hotel have created a Twitter trending topic. It was reported yesterday that the mysterious #MerryChristmas trending topic had its origins in the Tokio Hotel fan base. Quite a bit of confusion and sometimes delight reigned as people not familiar with Tokio Hotel—or its very loyal fan base speculated as to the cause. Most dyed-in-the-wool Tokio Hotel fans can remember exactly when their love affair with Germany’s most popular cultural export began. They can name the date, probably the time and what they were doing. The band affects kids and moms alike. There’s something about this band that inspires loyalty. So much so that fans will camp out for a week in the cold, learn German so that they can understand the language better and take up for the band when even the fans’ moms take up for the band. Some of the most recent awards that the band has received include the “Radio Regenbogen” and the “NRJ Awards”. Now the band has received accolades from one of the most important voice in music, “Spin” magazine, which namedTokio Hotel the “Best Band” for the last 25 years. Tokio Hotel News: MTV Games and Harmonix confirm launch of country-based Rock Band 3 sites


Recently, it was announced that German bands, Tokio Hotel and Rammstein were on the musical line up for the Rock Band 3 game. Each band will contribute a song; Tokio Hotel's  "Humanoid" will provide some of the musical tone for the game as will Rammstein's "Du bist". Fans of the game and of Tokio Hotel and Rammstein will have a new dimension to the rock and roll experience (in addition to hearing the lyrics to their favorite bands's music in a game context); today, Console Digest is reporting that there will be localized websites for the Rock Band 3 game. Tokio Hotel News: Tokio Hotel wins at the Rockbjörnen Awards 2010

 
According to Tokio Hotel Info, the German band, Tokio Hotel has another award to place on their shelf—the Rockbjörnen Awards 2010. The Fantastic Four from Magdeburg--Georg, Gustav, Tom and Bill--has been bestowed with two of the Swedish music awards, the “Concert of the Year” and “Foreign Song of the Year”.
